A sociable beer at the Dive Centre before the real action starts.

A first dive at Auliston Point with Ruth, so we were pleased to find Scallops and Squat Lobsters, both of which she likes.

Ruth at about 25m at Auliston Point. It was a little dark there...

Anemones.
Ruth found this rather splendid Dogfish, who was very happy to pose for photos for about five minutes.
At least this one didn't attack me...

Ruth on the wall at Auliston Point.
Most squat lobsters are only visible because they leave their claws sticking out of their holes.

Divers sunning themselves on the pontoon at Tobermory at Lunchtime. Reminds me a little of

Sound Diver, a lovely spacious dive boat with a lovely lift.

Tobermory Marina.

Tobermory Bay. It's sunny, but you can see showers over the mainland!

Sarah hiding behind her camera.
Peek-a-boo!
The photo she has taken is clearly amusing!

Stuart is largely baffled by the contents of his spares box.

Sarah.
More Sarah. We were basically just taking pictures of each other out of boredom while we steamed back down the sound.
Piles of kit and divers everywhere.
Ruth has a big smile on her face, which is suspicious since she doesn't much like boats.

Diving on the wreck of the Thesis.
The bow of the Thesis - all the hull plates have fallen off, just the structural ribs remain.
Brian is almost completely engulfed by Henry, his rebreather. Look, no bubbles.

Peacock worms on the wreck of the Rondo.

Plumose Anemones on the wreck of the Rondo.
This Plumose Anemone is about 18 inches tall!
Ruth with a HUGE edible crab.
He got a little punchy as I was taking this, waving his enormous claws at me. His shell is about 10 inches across, so I was very happy to keep my fingers behind the camera.
A rather pretty Sunstar.
Ruth at the rudder of the Rondo, which is only about 8m down. Even Ruth (who doesn't much care for wrecks) found this one to be very pretty.

Ruth behind the rudder.

Ruth again.

Brian wears a high visibility undersuit and hat, presumably on the basis that if he falls in he wants to be found quickly.

Lochaline in the sun, and cloud, and sun. It was one of those days.
The John Preston is a wreck with a cargo of slates lying in around 20m. We were diving at about 38m on the wall below the wreck, but still found the occasional slate that had made it's way down there!

A Burrowing Anemone - see a video if it retracting here.
