Pacific Coast
A rather pleasant afternoon stroll along the Pacific Coast just North on Ano Nuebo State Park
The edge of the dunes.
The wind carves the bluffs into fantastic shapes.
The sea leaves marevellous patterns on the sand.
Brown Pelicans (like we saw in Florida) patrol the coast.
It's quite mesmerising watching the ever changing shape of the waves.
The sea creeps in to wipe away car tracks on the beach.
Waves roll in towards the rocks...
...then splash up into yet more fractal shapes.
A walkway through the dunes.
View back across the first bay we walked up.
Rocky section of coast.
The lighthouse at Pigeon Point.
Boardwalk.
More pelicans.
Tiny little rocky beaches form as erosion takes it's toll.
Gull.
I think these are dolphins (further out) and sealions. They could be porpoises and seals - I'm not really sure!
Sealions and pelicans.
The sea has carved out a cave, which has now collapsed in on itself.
Neil poses with some more pelicans overhead!
Footsteps on the beach.
Time for a beer at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, sitting around their fire pits as the sun goes down!
