Tantallon Castle
Photos from a winter walk around Tantallon with my camera.
Bass Rock from Tantallon, in the poor winter light.
The castle is perched on a high cliff.
Not much left of the interior.
The tower against the winter sky.
This stairwell was well lit, but some were pretty dark!
The arch at the main entrance.
Just one remaining corner of wall here.
The South tower from the store rooms.
A door to nowhere!
Lifting apparatus further along the cliff - I heard a family telling their kids that it was a gibbet for naughty children!
The weather has taken the angles off these galbes!
Dark descends, but the lighthouse warns shipping of the Bass Rock.
